Indoor Community Payback project nominations
28th December 2011
Community Payback projects in Cumbria typically include graffitti removal, brining derelict areas and buildings back into public use, clearing community areas, repairing park benches and playground equipment. A lot of work also gets undertaken on environmental projects, primarily in the spring and summer months.
Cumbria Probation Trust is currently seeking nominations for indoor work across the county to be started this winter. Do you know of any Community Centres, Churches, Church Halls or Charitable Trust buildings that would benefit from refurbishment or decorating?
We are specifically looking for projects in the Carlisle area but will consider any nomination put forward which meets the following criteria:
• it must benefit the local community
• it must not take paid work away from
others
• no one must make a profit from the work
• it must be challenging and demanding
• it must be worthwhile and constructive
• offenders must be seen to be putting
something back into the community
The nomination form for a Community Payback project can be accessed at the bottom of the page.
