MP Tony Cunningham visit to West Cumbria Probation Office
11th November 2011
Tony Cunningham, MP for Workington visited Cumbria Probation Trust's new office in West Cumbria today.
Cumbria Probation Trust's Board Chair, Mr Richard Rhodes was delighted to welcom Mr Cunningham to the new office to meet with Board Members, Managers and staff to discuss the work and challenges of Probation in the current area.
Earlier this year Cumbria Probation Trust amalgamated the Probation Offices in Workington and Whitehaven into one building on Guard Street in Workington which provides the base for delivering intervention services to offenders across the whole of West cumbria. This approach allows the staff to be flexible and adapt to local offender needs. Probation staff work with offenders in the community on a daily basis, changing their behaviour to allow them to lead a crime free life.
