Official opening of West Cumbria Probation Office

The West Cumbria Probation Office was officially opened today.

The new office provides services to those living in Copeland and Allerdale. It was officially opened by the High Sheriff of Cumbria, Iona Frost-Pennington DL, who unveiled a plaque this afternoon at a reception for the staff and Board members.
Annette Hennessy, Chief Executive of Cumbria Probation Trust, was delighted that the High Sheriff was able to attend to officially open the West Cumbria Probation Office today.
Richard Rhodes, Trust Board Chair said: “Cumbria Probation Trust is committed to the provision of strong offender management across the county. The new office provides a base from where we can continue to provide this service to the communities of West Cumbria.”
The facility on Guard Street, Workington combines services that were previous available from the Ramsay Brow site and the Whitehaven Office.
