Recent Community Payback projects

Cumbria Probation Trust is involved in many Community Payback projects around the county. Here's an update on some of the projects that have recently been undertaken.
North Cumbria
*Port Carlisle - enhancing the playground and removing overgrown shrubbery
*Church of the Nazarene - internal decorating
*Petteril Bank - general clean up of the area
*Rickerby Park - cutting back shrubbery along the path and cycle lane
*Penrith - painting benches, bollards and railings
*Graffiti removal in various locations
*St. John Ambulance HQ - painting the railings
*Appleby Scout Hut - internal decorating
West Cumbria
*Northside Community Centre, Workington - internal painting and decorating (used as a flood relief centre)
*Christ Church Community Centre, Cockermouth - internal painting and decorating (used as a flood relief centre)
*Parkside Residential Home - laid a patio to give dementia residents a secure outdoor space
*Removal of Himalayan Balsam from river banks (part of a 3 year project)
*Crosscanonby Carr nature reserve - clearing paths to allow wildlife to reinhabit the reserve
*Merchant Quays, Workington - ground work to clear the overgrown and littered path
*Harrington the old line, Workington - clearing overgrown path to improve safety for users
*Workington Air Cadets - ground clearance behind the building to increase the amount of space available for the cadets to use
